Former Blues Dewsbury-Hall and George Ready for Chelsea Clash

Former Chelsea players Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tyrique George will be looking to make an impression when Everton host their former club in the Premier League this weekend. The Toffees welcome Chelsea to Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in what promises to be an intriguing reunion.

Dewsbury-Hall Looking Forward to Chelsea Test

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has become an important figure in Everton's midfield since leaving Chelsea for a reported £28 million move in August 2025. The midfielder brings energy, creativity and attacking intent, qualities that have helped him establish himself under David Moyes.

Reflecting on Everton's strong home form and the upcoming challenge, Dewsbury-Hall said:

“It comes to a big test against Chelsea next week and we'll see if we can continue it."

He added:

“We’ve had a great start at home this year and we want to build on that. It’s a really interesting game because it’s two teams who want to do well this year. It’s going to be a good test.”

The comments underline Everton's ambition to maintain their momentum against a Chelsea side determined to compete near the top of the Premier League table.

Dewsbury-Hall's Chelsea career lasted just one season. After joining from Leicester City in 2024, he made 36 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and contributing to the club's UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs. He left Stamford Bridge in August 2025 to pursue more regular first-team football at Everton.

Tyrique George Faces His Former Club

Tyrique George also has a personal connection to the fixture. The young English attacker developed through Chelsea's academy and made his senior breakthrough before moving to Everton permanently in July 2026. His Chelsea career included appearances in senior competitions and involvement in the club's trophy-winning era.

George will hope to demonstrate his progress against the club where he developed as a footballer. His pace, attacking movement and ability to operate in wide areas could offer Everton another option against Chelsea's defence.

Can Everton's Former Blues Make the Difference?

With Dewsbury-Hall providing midfield drive and George offering youthful attacking energy, Everton will hope their former Chelsea players can help deliver a positive result. For Chelsea, the reunion presents a test against two players familiar with the club's culture and expectations.
