Chelsea Ranked 9th Richest Club, Valued at $4.2 Billion

Chelsea have been valued at $4.2 billion (£3.1 billion) by Forbes, making the Blues the ninth most valuable football club in the world in the publication’s 2026 rankings.

The latest valuation represents a 29% increase in Chelsea’s value over one year, with the club rising from an estimated $3.3 billion in 2025 to $4.2 billion in 2026. Forbes’ figures underline the significant financial growth of the Stamford Bridge club despite the considerable investment made in the squad and infrastructure in recent years.

Chelsea’s position also places them among an elite group of clubs dominating global football financially. The Blues are the 5th-highest-valued Premier League club, behind Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, while Tottenham Hotspur sit 10th overall. Six English clubs feature in Forbes’ global top 10.

Chelsea Generate $637 Million in Revenue

Forbes estimates that Chelsea generated $637 million (£491 million) in revenue during the 2024/25 season. The figure represents an increase from the $591 million recorded in the previous Forbes valuation cycle.

Chelsea’s own financial accounts provide a closely matching figure. The club reported £490.9 million in revenue for the year ending June 30, 2025, its second-highest figure on record. Chelsea said increased broadcasting income following a fourth-place Premier League finish, participation in the FIFA Club World Cup and winning the UEFA Conference League contributed significantly to the rise.

Forbes’ valuation methodology considers a club’s enterprise value, including equity and net debt, while its assessment also takes into account the economics of the league and club. Forbes says its research draws on annual reports, club documents, executives, investors, sports bankers and other football-finance sources.

Chelsea’s Global Financial Standing

The $4.2 billion Chelsea valuation represents another major milestone for the club and reflects the strength of its global commercial appeal, Premier League status and international fanbase.

With Chelsea continuing to compete for major domestic and European honours, their financial trajectory will remain an important part of the club’s long-term development under Clearlake Capital.
